On Friday, 10th March, Mr Marsden took a team of Year 9 students to York for the second round of the Rotary Youth Speaks Public Speaking Competition. The boys were up against five other teams who had each won their respective district’s rounds. There were four prizes available – best speaker, best chairman, best proposer and best over-all team. Ermysted’s took all four titles! Our team are now the North Yorkshire Intermediate Champions, and they will go forward to represent our District (1040) at the Regional finals in Elland.
