KS3 Overview

Pupils in Years 7 are placed into four forms of mixed ability. To develop social bonds within the new intake, pupils are taught in form groups in Year 7.

All KS3 pupils follow the same extensive programme of study in mathematics, English, biology, chemistry, computing, Latin, French, food and nutrition, German, art and design, history, geography, design technology, music, religious studies, physics, PSHCE, and physical education; thereby, going far beyond the statutory National Curriculum.

To enable pupils to mix with others in the year group and make friendships outside of their form, all teaching groups (but not form groups) are changed on entry to Year 8.

The KS3 Curriculum Booklet provides an overview of each course, including links to a mapping document detailing the knowledge and skills being covered each term, and a summary of the pastoral and academic systems that are in place to support pupils in their studies.
